Day 02
Arriving Beijing
Arrive in Beijing - the capital of China. China Holidays tour guide greets you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel.
Day 03
Beijing - Xining (B, L, D)
After breakfast, take a morning flight to Xining, the honored summer capital city of China. After lunch, motor coach to Ta'er Monastery where is the birth place of the founder of the Yellow Sect(also called Gelu Sect)Tsong Khapa. In the Tibetan language, Ta'er Monastery is called 'gongben" which means"100.000 figures of Buddha.
Day 04
Xining - Qinhai Lake - Chaka - Dulan (B, L, D)
This morning we journey by bus to Riyue mountain pass (The Sun and the Moon mountain), visit the Sun pavilion and the Moon pavilion. Then arrive at Qinghai Lake, which is the biggest inland salt lake in China. The most charming and attractive place in Qinghai Lake is the Bird Island. It situated on the western shore of the Lake, and because of the receding water off its shores, the Bird Island has been turned into a peninsula. 164 species of birds have been identified at the lake. In spring and summer, the lake is ideal for ornithologists and bird-lovers, such as swan, wild goose, gulls, heron and petrel etc. After July, we visit Chaka Salt Lake instead , enjoy the sightseeing of Chaka Salt Lake. Stay overnight in Dulan.
Day 05
Dulan - Golmud. (B, L, D)
After breakfast, coach to Gollmud. Along the road can visit the Xiangride oasis, Yadan wind erosion view, desert and Charham Salt Lake and the Salt Bridge. We can also visit the local Tibetan people and if lucky, we can see mirage, desert tornado, forest of desert. Arrive at Golmud at the noon time . Visit the Charham Salt Lake where we can see the salt crystals, the colorful salt crystals some like corals, some like pagoda, some like flower, some like ivory, some like gem¡¡
Day 06
Golmud - Lahsa (8 hours) (B, L, D)
It is a big day,. we will take the new railway from Golmud to World Roof-Lhasa. The Qinghai-Tibet Railway connecting China inner land to Lhasa, it is the highest railway in the world. The Chinese government believes the railway will put Tibet's social and economic development on track and lead to a richer life for Tibetans. Of course, it might also lead to drastic changes in Tibetan culture. From Colmud to Lhasa is 1118km, will be take 12hours. Along the way, we can visit mount Kunlun, Mt. Tangula and the Hoh Xil National Nature Reserve and Tibetan antelope running on grassland.
Day 07
Shigatse - Lhasa (B, L, D)
After breakfast, sightseeing of The Potala palace, one of the most famous architectural works of Tibet, is erected on the top of the Red Hill in Lhasa. It was first built in the 7th century by Sonsan Gambo, the king of the Tibet Kingdom ,for Princess Wencheng of the Tang Dynasty ,whom he was soon to marry . After lunch we will visit the Norbulingka , it was built by the Severth Dalai Lama in the 18th century and served as the summer palace for him . Visit Jakhag Temple, it is indeed the spiritual center as well as the oldest temple in Tibet
Day 08
Lhasa - Tsedang (B, L, D)
After breakfast. coach to Tsedang -the cradle and hometown of Tibet. Upon arrival visit the Yumblagang, the palace for the 1st Tubo King Niechi in the Yalong River valley. It is also called "the Mosher and Song Holy Hall." Zhangzhu Monastery, one of the earliest Buddhist temples in Tibetan history. It contains the precious relics the Pearl Tangkha , which is 2 meters in length, 1.2 meters in breadth, is made of 29026 pearls and different precious stone by Naidong during the reign of Pamodrupa Kingdom. Stay overnight in Tsedang.
In the morning, drive to Yamddok Yum Tso Lake via Kamba La(4794m),Yamddok YumTso, one of the three biggest holly lakes of Tibet, it covers 600 square kilometers. Then drive to Shigatse. Stay overnight in Shigatse.
Day 10
Shigatse - Lhasa (B, L, D)
After breakfast, visit the Tashilunpo Monastery, which is the biggest Monastery in Tsang region of Tibet. The Monastery is well known for its Biggest Gold-gilded Sitting Buddha in Copper Amitabha. After lunch, back Lhasa city, approx 5 hours back Lhasa. Have the local Tibetan food as dinner when you enjoy the local performance.. Stay overnight in Lhasa.
Day 11
Lhasa - Beijing (B, L, D)
After breakfast, transfer to the airport and take the flight back to Beijing and stay overnight in Beijing.
DAY12.Beijing . ?U.S.A/Canada
Tour guide will transfer you to the airport and home your sweet home.
