Dragon Gate
The word "Dragon Gate" (longmen) was originally the inscription on the stone chamber in the Datian Pavilion, although it now refers to a complete group of grottoes and sculptures hacked from the stone corridor, south of Xiaoniu Spring.
Beside a large inscribed rock southwest of Xiaoniu Spring stands a narrow cave that only allows one person to pass at a time. Inside, the cave widens to allow for a view of the numerous inscriptions, although the cave only allows two people to squeeze by at one time.
South along the tunnel, one arrives at the Dragon Gate (or Datian Pavilion). The tunnel of this part is called "Yunhua Cave", refering to the inscription on the stone tablet on the road south of the Ciyun Cave. Inside are numerous natural-shaped niches, incense burners, vases and other relics.
The road along the outer edge of the cliff to the Dragon Gate only allows two people to squeeze by at one time and can be a bit of a squeeze!
