The ruins of Licheng are located on a five-meter-high terrace, 1,000 kilometers east of the Beijing-Guangzhou Railway, in Tangyin County south of Anyang City. The terrace with an area of 10,000 square meters was where the King of Yin imprisoned the King of Zhou in the late Shang Dynasty (16th-11th century B.C.).
