Kaifmg Ancient Capital Lantern Festival (February 13 - 15)

The Ceremony to Worship the Ancestors is held from the 2nd day of the 2nd month through the 3rd day of the 3rd month on lunar calendar near the Mausoleum of FL Xi, the legendary Chinese ruler of prehistoric period, in Huaiyang.

The grand sacrificial ceremony of the Chinese Cultural & Tourist Festival is held from the 2nd day through the 5th day of the 3rd month on lunar calendar in the Memorial Temple to the Yellow Emperor in Mt. Juci, the hometown of the emperor, in Xinzheng.

The activity to commemorate the birth of Lao Zi is held on April 12 in front of Taichu Hall in Lingbao.

The Luoyang Peony Fair falls on April 15-25 in Luoyang, where people can admire various species of peonies and exhibition of calligraphy and painting, and visit the palaces of interest, such as Longmen Grottoes.

The Internaional Huanghe Tourist Festival is held between April 20 and 26 in Sanmenxia, during which time people can travel along the Huanghe River following the route of the inspection tour of Emperor Taizong of the Tang Dynasty.

The Xinyang Tea Festival is held from May 15 through 20 in Xinyang. By the time, a national tea fair is held. People can make the choice for their favorite tea and visit the scenic spots such as Mt. Jigong and Nanwan Lake.

The China Wenxian International Tai Chi Festival is held between September 5 and 10 in Wenxian Country, during which time a Tai Chi contest and a famous-brand products fair are also organized.

The China Zhenzhou Internaitonal Shaolin Martial Art Festival is held between September 10 and 15 in Zhengzhou. While there are also other activities, such as performances of Shalin martial arts, kongfu contest, trade talks, and performances displaying the culture on the Central Plain as well as the tradiontal Chinese Culture and arts.

The Kaifeng Chrysanthemum Fair is held between October 25 and Novermber 11 in Kaifeng, during which time people can admire various species of chrysanthemums , enjoy the performance of the local customs, and participate in economic and trade activities.

The activity of Rining the Bell at the White Horse Temple to Welcome the New Year is held on New Year's Eve in Luoyang, when people pray for peacefulness of the world.
