Museum
Located in Guanjia Village of Fuzhou, the museum has a floor space
of 10,000 square meters. It is composed Ll of the Storage, Ancient History,
Modern History, Archaeological, Technical, and Nature departments. On
display are the historical relics unearthed in Fujian, materials showing
the revolutionary history and natural conditions of Fujian, archaeological
finds such as human fossils from the Paleolithic Age, sites of the Neolithic
Age, the site of the Han Dynasty Chong'an Town .
Municipal Museum
It is a group of ancient structures in Yushan of Fuzhou, The museum
is 3,000 square meters in area and housed the Front Army Headquarters
of the Revolutionary Army in the battle to recapture Fuzhou during the
1911 Revolution. In 1987, it was made the Fuzhou Municipal Museum.
Lin Zexu Memorial Hall
Originally called the Temple of Master Lin Wenzhong, it was built
in 1905 on 16 Aomenlu, Gulou District, Fuzhou. In 1982, a restoration
brought it back to its former splendor. The classical garden-like museum
has a floor space of 1,000 square meters. Inside are stone tablets bearing
inscriptions in the imperial handwriting and an exhibition hall showing
Lin's life.
Zheng Chenggong Memorial Hall
It is in Xilin Villa on Gulangyu Islet. It was built in 1962 to mark
the 300th anniversary of the recovery of Taiwan by Zheng Chenggong.
The memorial hall consists of seven parts and features historical relics,
written materials, photos, sculptures, models, and fine art works showing
the life of Zheng Chenggong.
