Sichuan Hot Pot
The dish consists of the Paired Hop Pot, Three-Flavor
Hot Pot and Four-Flavor Hot Pot, which contain hop, plain and
milky soup. In the past, only chopped oxen entrails were instantly
boiled in the hot pot. At present, more than 100 different vegetables,
meat and seafood are added to the Sichuan Hot Pot.
Chengdu Snacks
Snacks in Chengdu have gained world fame with
their unique color, flavor, taste and shape. Both the Zhong's
dumpling and the Lai Family glutinous rice bass were invented
more than 100 years ago. The Pearl Glutinous Rice Ball, Chenmapo
Tofu, Zhihuzi Steamed-stuffed Dragon Eye Bun, spicy noodles, wontons
and other dishes all have a history of more than half a century.
Chengdu Lid-Covered Tea
Drinking tea is an important part of the ancient
Ba and Shu Culture, teahouses appeared in Sichuan long ago. They
are still found in cities and the countryside today. The unique
tea set covered with lid of central Sichuan has attracted numerous
tourists from home and abroad.
