As an outside representative
of Palace cuisine, Chengde dishes share similarities
with Beijing Palace dishes, however, they have
unique features. The most distinctive dishes
include Pingquan Frozen hare, Qinglong Turtle,
Garnished Venison, etc. Chengde dishes get their
unique flavor by applying palace cuisine to
food with local flavour.
