Shanghai Old Restaurant, Branch (Rongshun
Restaurant)
With a 100-year history, it is the oldest restaurant
serving local Shanghai dishes and is famous for its
seafood. The restaurant pays attention to duration
and degree of heating, flavor, effective use of bright
colored foods, rich-tasting juices and strong flavors.
Its trump card dishes include Duck with Garnish, Braised
Three Delicacies and Spicy Garnish.
Dexing Restaurant
Established in 1883 during the Qing Dynasty, this
restaurant has a history of more than 100 years. Under
strict material selection, only fresh chicken, pork,
shrimp and fish are used. Dexing Restaurant is devoted
to making Shanghai dishes featuring rich juices, bright
colors, strong flavors and pleasant aromas. Now it
offers several dozen famous dishes like the Preserved
and Fresh Bamboo Shoots, Shrimp and Fish Lips and
Chicken Bone Chop.
Xiaoshaoxing Restaurant
Famous for its Xiaoshaoxing Tender Boiled Chicken,
a top dish in China, the restaurant was established
in 1943 and continued to be popular in the last half
century. With half-a-century of experience, the restaurant
now offers high-quality dishes. The chickens used
are specially-fed Pudong yellow-feather chickens,
and the dish fully preserves the flavor and nutrients
of the chicken.
Lubo Corridor
Located by the Jiuqu Bridge at the old Chenghuang
(Town God's) Temple, the Lubo Corridor faces the mid-lake
pavilion. With an elegant and quaint aroma, it serves
Shanghai food, and is especially noted for Shanghai
snacks like Crab Powder Stuffed Bun (steamed in small
bamboo utensils), Vegetable and Meat Steamed Dumpling,
Date-Paste Stuffed Crisp Cake and Three Shreds Crisp
Pastry.
Wang Bao He Restaurant
Known as the "King of Crab and Ancestor of Liquor",
the Wang Bao He Restaurant was established in 1744
during the Qing Dynasty. With a history of more than
250 years, it is among the earliest liquor shops in
Shanghai and famous for Wang Bao He Liquor and river
crab. In the past decade, the restaurant's unique
Chrysanthemum Crab Feast had become world renowned
for its uniqueness, originality and high quality.
